Moving into the courtyard, Meta inhaled the mixed scents of the garden. Though left unacknowledged by humans, the dead half of the yard seemed almost as sweet as those on the other side.
Simple thoughts like these overtook her and she calmly began to lower onto all fours, her body contorting to a different shape. Her bones, muscles, everything began shifting their location and orientation. Elongating, shortening... Soon a blue-tinted black wolf stood in her place.
The form was obviously made for a submissive of a pack, dainty in its size so much that her height could only be compared to a small golden retriever at best. Anyone who approached her as such in the forest, however, had been sorry afterwords. Her sire gifted her with the power and confidence to kill her human "mate". What she truly lacked in strength compared to other shape-shifters, she made up for in agility and strategy. She reveled in this form, the form that symbolized her childhood home so well.
Belly low to the ground, Meta moved entirely under the bench on the dead side of the garden. Between her top cover and the flowers surrounding, she was almost invisible as she laid down to enjoy the quietness of this sanctuary.
A blessing after the events of the past few days.
(Assuming a little under a week had past since Victor's turning)

"So don't you be afraid, I'll never let you fade.." whispered a soft melody. A simple flower was picked apart by the hands of the voice.
Rukou enjoyed being the living garden. Beautiful sorts of flowers and creatures everywhere. To him, it meant everyone can live together and learn to cooperate. Hah, why does he care? The only person he cares about is himself. Peace, cooperation, harmony. Not in his world. However, this was his garden and to please the prissy little vampires that required to keep their emotions, he allowed the flowers to be planted and maintained. The animals and bugs were bonuses to give it more life and easier maintenance. Oh what he does to keep people happy. Luckily for him, destroying the flowers were a bit of pleasure, especially when he felt his own emotions coming through.
Irritation occupied his mind as he walked from the wooden bench he'd been resting at, the ravaged yellow flower scattered across the brick trail.
His light footsteps skimmed across the living garden into the dead, in which he smelled a familiar scent. A canine. A wolf to be exact. And.. Meta? She must've shifted. "Meta," he mumbled. This induced even more irritation. Turning a human teacher, none the less a family member of the Lucifer family, into a vampire was not supposed to happen at Black Stone.
Meta was passed along as Rukou ignored her, making it known he was there by stepping on some crumbled up flowers. "Vampires are starting to become a little more disgusting.." he said outloud, knowing Meta would hear it.

Opening her eyes to slits, Meta opened her muzzle wide, emitting the canine-patented squeal-yawn. Working with Victor had been difficult the last few days and she was tired of the dirty looks both the staff and students had continued to give her. Not only that, but Victor himself was tiring her. Although he had agreed to stay a vampire for at least a trial period before giving into the cure, he still refused blood during the hysterias when he truly needed it. She had needed to repeat her stunt of slitting her wrist, holding it out, and telling him he could either drink or bleed her to death. It was obvious Meta used his weakness against him.
In that time, she had quickly grown to care for her fledgling. However, she was disheartened. Although she was almost excited to think that she had gotten through her problems with relationships, she realized that her feelings for the young vampire were platonic, parallel to a severe parental protectiveness. When she realized her child may be taken from her, an instinctual aggressiveness rose in her, telling her it was wrong. On the other hand, her logic told her that it was entirely right if he had the choice...
Survival of the species or choice of the individual... Instinct or thought. It was these moments where she escaped her fledgling to collect her thoughts and tell herself which was important.
Rukou just interrupted it. However, she entered a muted mode as he spoke, refusing to rise to his words. Instead, she simple crawled from underneath the bench and gracefully stepped on bench and sat on her haunches.
Tilting her head in wolfish curiosity, she allowed for him to continue, allowing if he had something he needed to say and get out.

"I'm starting to sound just like Victor, aren't I, Meta?" Rukou stated as he flopped onto the opposing bench. He stared at her with his blue eyes into her blue trimmed, sun toned eyes. A deep, good smiling stare into hers, giving her his thoughts.
'Victor won't be the same since his turning and he's staying for his so called love for you. Why did you allow this? He's no longer ruthless, no longer able to serve for my family. His heart is filled with worthless junk and if he does not revert back soon, we will terminate you.'
The family is the only thing that Rukou would be protective of and losing a member, even if a member that isn't by blood, is crucial. Vampires are weak in the family and since Victor gained feelings when he turned, Victor became useless. He was known as a man who killed without mercy and who killed without fear and nothing holding him back. Hell, vampires were the one thing Victor hated the most and he ended up becoming one. What bull shit.
The mixed vampire's head raised to give a sense of "higher power" and he smiled even more, his claws digging in the bench. "You're becoming trouble. You weren't like this before. What has gotten into you?"
Normally, Meta was "okay" in Rukou's books but lately, she's been tugging on his nerves.

Curiosity removed, Meta willed her vocal cords to shift. Her voice came out, slightly darker than normal because of her still-wolf form, words somewhat muffled inside her muzzle. Before her words, though, was a literal bark of laughter, "You know he isn't half as ruthless only because he can't get drunk."
Eyes blank, truly blank, she continued seriously, "I saved him. Now at least you have the choice to make him a human again.
However, he is my fledgling. Tell me. Is the only reason his status bothers you because he doesn't kill so swiftly, now? If so, then I am not so inclined to break his heart, back ruthless to your side. Every vampire knows to put Child before the Dam.
If you remove my influence, I do not believe he will flourish as a vampire. For that reason and that reason alone, do I even consider letting him return to mortality. After all, better a strong human who I know isn't a threat, than a weak vampire who could cause us harm." (I love oxymorons.)
Gracefully vaulting from her bench and toward Rukou, she sauntered to his side, resting her head sideways on the bench by his knee.
"I respect you, Rukou, and know that I am not one for emotional connections, but when I saved him for your family, I became his parent. I must look after him as such. Please respect that I am only seeing to what will leave him strongest and most viable.
And you also know I will never relinquish an apology for any action I take."

"Not only that, he's become more attached to you, more dependent," he said with a cocky Dion flair. His upper body leaned towards her and hands clasp. His rant continued, "A serum to return him back to normal doesn't always work. He might stay a vampire."
He paused to give himself some thought. "Victor is a very, very important part of my family, though not by blood. Take him away and you're helping to destroy the Lucifer family. Neither I nor Dion can have that. A reason why Dion came here was to protect our brother from people destroying him. We knew he wouldn't be as safe as he would in a vampire's domain."
Back against the bench once again, eyes away from her, he heaved a great sigh. "And then the only woman he admires turns against him.. what a delicious little plan you've got here." Rukou knew none of it was intentional or planned. He just wanted to start shit like he always plays. He got up and leaned down towards the canine, "But.." His slender hands were rubbing upon Meta's head, "if you want to keep the baby bloodsucker, I'll let you. Victor and I seem to had it after each other anyway. Maybe he and I could settle things on a level of his own now." The tone of voice became more playful now that he's giving Victor up to her.
"I don't play by my dad's rules so I shouldn't care if Victor belonged to you now. Just be careful about Dion. That boy lives under my father." His father is the most important person to him, but sometimes his beliefs have to be sacrificed in order to play some games.

Meta's stare continued on Rukou, entirely dull. "You're talking in circles. You care, but you don't? Regardless of your game, I stand by what I said. If I am in danger, I will give him up. His situation as a vampire will not be positive without me- for a while, at least. " Against the gentle and almost sweet feeling of his touch, she tensed in anticipation. Trust one of the Lucifer family to turn around and yank her tender ear.
With a sigh, she moved from his touch and circled around the back of his legs. At his choice to play, she did as well, "So I hear you got a little addition to your band. I'm surprised Ryesen got suckered into it. She hasn't been able to enjoy a concert experience in years from what she's told me. You will treat her well, won't you?" The tables turned. Rukou's mild protectiveness over Victor turned to hers over Ryesen. Nudging his leg, she grumbled lightly.
"She may not be important or wonderful, but she is a fairly nice girl. I think she will find a lot with your band... after all... you know she is one that can't feel much as far as emotion goes, correct? While I wouldn't miss it, she does. If a concert turns intense enough..." Baiser was famous, its members also famously close. If Ryesen became a part of that family, she would have many chances she missed because of her mild lifestyle.

A smirk emerged as the thought of Victor away from the Lucifers came about, "Take care of that rotted pawn." Games were played with Victor and the Lucifer family but the strings were all controlled by Rukou. No other words were meant to be said. He kept things simple and that was it. All he was waiting for was the outcome of the little ruse and how long it would go for.
The self-proclaimed prince didn't take anything as a threat, not even a puny wolf. Relaxed with a crooked smile, he eyed her. Cute. How ridiculously cute. "Ryesen," he said with a emotion, "Cute girl. Could be a little better, but someone like her has to be able to handle men like Dion and I. We'll see how far she goes and how far the band ends up.. again." The band was only a hobby. It could end whenever he chose it to end and bring it back up whenever. It wasn't anything special; just a side project.
A statement questioned him. "Vampires.. are supposed to feel emotions?" he asked with a hint of sarcasm. "M'lady Meta, I was very unaware of such a feature of this 'vampirism'. Tell me more." He chuckled at his joke as he gave the tip of his pointer a lick. Within moments, bones tangled, back arched, fur protruded from all over. The dark brown hair that had covered his head quickly faded into a silvery white. Eyes slanted and more slender, one turning blue, one turning even more red, symbolizing his mixed mutt heritage. His face lengthening out and growing jaws strong enough to tear parts off.
A white wolf, slender and smaller than an average male wolf, with a small angelic glow to it. Rukou didn't appreciate his fur color but what was given to him for being angel wasn't his choice. He dealt with it and took it in pride and beauty.
He towered not much over Meta, but enough to make him seem more of the dominant one. His eyes locked onto hers.
"Wolfy," he teased.

"I believe vampires feel some emotion. Thinks such as art and music would be useless without it. Just a nice way to show off. But then... showing off means that they're feeling pride, wouldn't it? Ryesen has to work very hard for her skin to warm, for her to sweat, for her to feel the music she did as a human."
As Rukou transformed, Meta's hackles raised territorially for a moment, but she knew this ground belonged to him long before her. She did, however, continue staring him directly in the face and eyes. She belonged here at least as much as he did. Her stance was not subordinate, but simply aloofly dominant- there was no neutral ground in wolf communication.
"Oooo. Scaaary. Actually, you're quite handsome- for a mutt. But I suppose mutts, in dog breeds, come out stronger than their purebred counterparts," the blue-black canine sneered- if what she did could be called a sneer.
