The door to the Vicinity opened, exposing a pair of girls it would have been impossible to miss. For one, they were in their own clothes, but then that was allowed when they were not in class. For another thing, one was a towering 5ft 7, which for a girl who looked 15 was pretty damn tall.
The one at the front was around 5ft 5 and would no longer get any bigger, probably because the vampire blood stopped that kind of nonesence. Not that she minded. Her wardrobe could always grow and she would never worry about not fitting into something.
She had long red hair that fell in a gentle wave beside a pale face, with green eyes. Her figure was slender, but with curves, which she showed off in jeans and a fitted top.
The other was entirely different. There was no way she was a vamp. Her skin was pale too, but those with good eyes would see the tinge of blue to it. Her hair too was red, but it was in long spikes that had 2 kinks to them, looking like punk meets a spider. Her features were pretty, but sharper than Rouge's, with purple eyes that glittered.
Her clothes too, were not something you would normally see. The top, or what was left of it, was black, and ripped around the stomach as if a wild animal had been given it. The skirt she wore had once been white linen, but again it was in rags. Still it covered what she needed it to.
But most noticable of all were the large wings that protruded from her back. They were like that of a bat, in the fact they were skeletal rather than butterfly shapes.
She might have been a fae, but she wasn't a typical one.
Rouge walked in without any fear, passing students to flop onto the sofas.
"I can't believe he took my phone," she said, now suitably comfortable.
Lullyn followed, looking like she was trying to make herself somewhat smaller, folding her wings in. When she sat, she did so slowly, as if she feared someone would pull the chair from beneath her.
"You don't need it," said Lullyn, her voice calm.
"That's not the point," said Rouge, looking annoyed. "How am I supposed to contact Jules if i haven't got it?"
Lullyn's face didn't alter. It was calm and thoughtful.
"Letter," she replied.
Rouge glowered at her.
"You expect me to write a letter?" she said. "And post it how? I don't know the address."
She flopped back in the chair. It wasn't about phones, or letters. It wasn't even about Jules. Rouge liked new places, but the first few days it was always that struggle of power. Girls hated pretty girls.
She looked at Lullyn, beautiful in her own way. Rouge liked her. At least there was one plus to being here.
